—Where was I? is a diaristic essay that recollects some remaining fragments of time spent reorienting and overwriting oneself, published in website form as well as performed within a physical installation.

It merges personal anecdotes from days spent in Rome while reading about about the diary film and Pier Paolo Passolini’s notebook film in Laura Rascaroli’s The Personal Camera. The work represents a chapter within How To Save Time, a long-term research trajectory exploring how practices of documentation can help preserve or restore one’s sense of orientation and duration.
